Application&Fertilization Methods
Suitable Crops
NPK 15-15-15 compound fertilizer is suitable for a variety of crops, including rice, wheat, corn, peanuts, fruit trees, eggplants, rhizomes, melons, leafy vegetables, flowers, as well as other crops such as potatoes, beans, cotton, tea, rapeseed, bananas, sugarcane, etc.
Fertilization Methods
1. Base fertilizer
1) Spread and plow: Before planting crops, evenly spread NPK 15-15-15 compound fertilizer on the soil surface, and then plow to ensure that the fertilizer is fully mixed with the soil. For example, when planting field crops such as corn and wheat, this method is often used to provide basic nutrients for the entire growth cycle of the crops.
2) Strip or hole fertilization: For crops with wide row or plant spacing, such as trees and vegetables, fertilization can be applied within the planting rows or holes. First, dig a trench or hole with a depth of about 10-15 centimeters, then apply fertilizer and cover with soil. This can concentrate fertilizer near the roots of crops, improving fertilizer utilization efficiency.
2. Topdressing fertilizer
1) Gully application: During crop growth, shallow ditches are opened between rows as needed, and NPK 15-15-15 compound fertilizer is applied into the ditches, followed by soil covering. The depth of the ditch is generally 5-10 centimeters, and watering should be done promptly after fertilization to promote fertilizer dissolution and absorption. For example, in the mid growth stage of crops such as cotton and soybeans, furrow fertilization can be used.
2) Hole application: Dig holes near the crop plants for fertilization, apply an appropriate amount of fertilizer to each hole, and then cover with soil. Suitable for some rare crops or crops grown individually, such as watermelon, cantaloupe, etc. When applying acupuncture, it is important to maintain a certain distance from the plant to avoid burning the roots.
3) Impulse: Dissolve NPK 15-15-15 compound fertilizer in water to form a certain concentration of fertilizer solution, and then pour the fertilizer solution into the field through irrigation systems such as drip irrigation, sprinkler irrigation, etc. This method is suitable for facility agriculture or irrigated fields, which can quickly and evenly distribute fertilizers in the soil. However, attention should be paid to controlling the amount and concentration of fertilizers to prevent seedling burning and nutrient loss.
4) Spread fertilizer evenly on the soil surface, but usually combined with watering to allow the fertilizer to dissolve and infiltrate into the soil. This can be used in areas with good watering conditions such as rice fields, but in arid areas or without irrigation conditions, it is not recommended to spread fertilizer alone to avoid the fertilizer not being dissolved and absorbed in a timely manner.
